Privacy Policy

ClickPlays is operated by Serna Media Inc. ("Serna Media Inc.", "we", "us"). ClickPlays helps coaches draw, save, and share plays. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using ClickPlays you agree to this policy.

What we collect

  • Account info, your name, email address, and a securely scrambled (hashed) version of your password. We never store your password as plain text.
  • Profile info you choose to add, first/last name, a short bio, a website link, and an avatar color.
  • The plays and playbooks you create, the diagrams, names, descriptions, and notes you save.
  • Sharing & invites, when you share a play or invite another coach, we store who you invited and send them an email on your behalf.
  • Activity signals, things like which plays are starred, and basic usage so we can improve the product.
  • Payment info, if you upgrade to PRO, our payment partners handle your card. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Technical info, your browser type, device, and cookies needed to keep you logged in and to understand how the site is used.

How we use it

  • To run your account and let you create, save, print, and share plays.
  • To send important emails (sign-up confirmation, password resets, sharing invites, and billing receipts).
  • To send occasional product updates and tips, which you can opt out of at any time.
  • To keep the service safe, fix bugs, and make it better.

What other people can see

Your plays are private by default. Other people only see your content when you choose to share it:

  • Sharing a play, anyone with the link (or whom you invite) can view that play.
  • Making a play public, it can appear on public pages and be found by others.
  • A public coach profile, this is off unless you turn it on. When on, your name, bio, and public plays are visible to anyone.

You can change these choices at any time in your account.

Companies that help us run ClickPlays

We use trusted outside services to do specific jobs. They only get the information they need to do that job, and they aren't allowed to use it for anything else:

  • Payments, Lemon Squeezy processes subscriptions securely.
  • Email, SendGrid delivers our emails.
  • File storage, DigitalOcean (Spaces) holds saved play images.
  • Analytics, Clicky helps us understand how the site is used.
  • Error monitoring, Laravel Nightwatch alerts us when something breaks so we can fix it.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to measure how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser, but some parts of ClickPlays may not work properly without them.

Keeping your data & deleting your account

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and personal data at any time by emailing [email protected]. After you request deletion there is a short waiting period (in case you change your mind), and then your account and plays are permanently removed. Some records may be kept if the law requires it.

Your choices

  • See or update your information in your account settings.
  • Turn your public profile and public plays on or off.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link at the bottom of any email.
  • Ask us to delete your account and data.

Children

ClickPlays is built for coaches and is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll remove it.

Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you live in California, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA):

  • Know, ask what personal information we've collected about you and how we use it.
  • Delete, ask us to delete your personal information.
  • Correct, ask us to fix inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out, we do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there's nothing to opt out of there.
  • No retaliation, we won't treat you differently for using any of these rights.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the "last updated" date above and, when appropriate, let you know. Continuing to use ClickPlays after a change means you accept the updated policy.
