Saturday, first series
5v5 | plays 12-14 | one card eachA play your team reads in one look
A flag play gets one rep at practice and a few seconds in the huddle, so the diagram has to do the teaching. Every receiver on the card carries a color, every route comes out in its runner's color, and every play takes the number you call it by. A player finds their color, a coach calls a number, and nobody decodes anything.
Routes in their runner's color
X is blue, Y is gold, Z is green, and the RB, C and QB carry their own. Draw a route from a receiver and the line matches them automatically, on screen and on paper.
Football notation, nothing new to learn
Solid arrows for routes, dashed for the pass, dotted for pre-snap motion, and the handoff mark for the sweep. The shorthand every football diagram has always used.
The card shows what a play uses
The backfield, the line of scrimmage, the rush line 7 yards out, and a depth line every 5 yards. A 15-yard comeback and a 5-yard out are visibly different plays. The full field is one click away.
Pick the field your league plays on
NFL FLAG 5v5 at 70 by 30 yards, IFAF 5v5 at 70 by 25, high school 7v7 at 100 by 40. Lines to gain, try marks and no-run zones drawn from each rulebook, so the play you install is legal where you play it.
